1. Call to order
Chair Bruce called the meeting to order at 6:42 p.m.
2. Business Requiring Action
The Board discussed a request from Mike Jackson to fund two unbudgeted reserve athletic teams. Mr. Jackson reported that there was a higher than expected enrollment on the boys lacrosse and boys baseball teams by about 25 students. Athletic Director Jackson would like to schedule a 10 game season for the teams and costs for the additional teams include travel, a coach, and officials. Mr. Jackson estimated the cost to add these squads would be $7,767. There would be no additional funds required for equipment for the teams. After discussion, the Board concluded that additional revenues associated with the athletic participation fees ($75 per student) should be used to offset some of the expected additional costs.
A motion was made by Linda Gray and seconded by John Chamberlin to approve spending for coaches and officials associated with two unbudgeted reserve teams for spring not to exceed $3,342, as outlined and attached to the original meeting minutes. The motion passed unanimously.
3. Nonpublic Session
A motion was made by John Chamberlin and seconded by Mary Sachsse to enter
nonpublic session in accordance with RSA 91-A:3 for discussion of personnel matters. The motion passed unanimously. Roll call was conducted and the Board entered nonpublic session at 7:14 p.m.
4. Adjournment
A motion was made by Linda Gray and seconded by Kari Asmus to adjourn the meeting at 7:54 p.m. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 7:54 p.m.
