BUDGET HEARING
7:00 P.M., TUESDAY, APRIL 27, 2004

MINUTES

Present: Board members Asmus, Carter, Cassidy, Chamberlin,, Goodman, Pilchman, Segal; Administrators Greenbaum and Aubin; and approximately 19 members of the public.

1. Call to order

Chair Segal called the Bond Hearing to order at 7:00 p.m. saying the following:

In accordance with RSA 32:5, I open this Public Hearing on the budget for the Article on the May 26 Special Hanover School District Meeting in accordance with NH RSA 32:5. Included in the public packets is the Warrant for this meeting, which contains the proposed amount over that approved at the March 10, 2004 Hanover School District meeting appropriations for the 2004-05 school year. A notice for this Public Hearing was published in the Valley News on Monday, April 19, 2004.

2. School Board presentation

Superintendent Ken Greenbaum reviewed the Warrant Article. Assistant Superintendent for Business John Aubin disclosed and discussed the purposes and amounts of appropriations in the Article.

Members of the public were invited to discuss the material presented and to ask questions. The materials presented are attached to the original minutes of the meeting.

3. Adoption of budget revision/rescission

John Chamberlin moved and Nancy Carter seconded a motion to propose in the May 26, 2004 School District Warrant the added amount of $141,575 over that approved at the March 10, 2004 Hanover School District meeting appropriations, said amount to fund the revised contract agreement between the Hanover School Board and the Hanover Education Association (NH HEA). This amount is placed in Article 1 of the May 26, 2004 Hanover School District Special Meeting Warrant. The motion passed 6 yes, 1 no (Goodman).

4. Adjournment

Larry Pilchman moved and John Cassidy seconded a motion to adjourn at 7:10 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.

The meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
