Athletic Fields Fundraising Appeal

As of February 2006 , we have raised over $65,000 in unrestricted funds, which is a good start. However, we are now asking for your help in raising the moneys needed as part of our plan; specifically, please consider making a donation.  And if you would prefer that your donation go toward a specific item, we’ll insure that it does.

This is a wonderful opportunity for athletic enthusiasts to help with the improvement and expansion of athletic fields in the same way that avid readers and community supporters helped finance the expansion of the Howe Library. The information that follows offers the estimated costs of the additional items for which we are fundraising, and a summary of our donor recognition program.

Because Hanover High athletics shares fields with both the Town of Norwich and the Town of Hanover, the new and renovated athletic fields will benefit the recreation programs for children of all ages, as well as the adults, in our community.

We thank you in advance for considering a donation to help support the improvement and expansion of athletic fields for Hanover High.

--Kathy Parsonnet & Peter Krass, Co-Chairs of the Dresden Athletic Fields Committee

Enhancements to Athletic Fields

In addition to the components included in the bond, the Athletic Fields Plan enhancements such as structures related to the athletic program (i.e. scoreboards, dugouts, equipment storage buildings, etc) The Dresden School Board is also open forming partnerships with other non-profit organizations to help with enhancements.

How to Make a Donation

The most efficient means of making a donation is to send it to the Dresden School District, which has created a holding account that will be credited interest and audited annually by an independent auditor.  Checks are payable to “The Dresden School District – Athletic Fields Fund.”  Please download the Dresden Athletic Fields Donation form, fill it out, and send it to the SAU office.
