Athletic Field Committee Meeting Minutes:

In addition to meeting minutes, interested residents should be aware that video tapes of athletic field committee meetings are available. Tapes may be obtained at the CATV office at the south end of the High School for about two weeks after the date of the meeting. After two weeks, tapes are sent to the Howe Library where they can be checked out. The phone number for CATV is 643-2288. |
Plan for Phased Partnership Approach to Develop Athletic Fields for Hanover High School
At their board meeting on October 26, 2004, the Dresden Board adopted the following timeline for developing athletic fields for Hanover High School.
October: COMPLETE
- Review proposed time line
- Review Mission Statement, Action Plan, Membership of Dresden Athletic Fields Committee
- Confer with Town of Norwich, Town of Hanover other potential partners regarding draft time line regarding the interim fields
November: COMPLETE
- Review of questionnaire, development of final draft by committee
- At Board meeting: Review, adoption of questionnaire by Board (Approved in December)
- At Board meeting Adoption of Mission Statement, Action Plan, Membership of Dresden Athletic Fields Committee
- At Board meeting: update on discussions with town of Norwich, Town of Hanover, other potential partners
- At Board meeting: decision on time table for interim fields
January, 2005
- Initial meeting of Dresden Athletic Fields Committee
- Issuance of questionnaire
March, 2005
- Review of questionnaire, development of final draft by committee
- At Board meeting: Presentation of analysis of questionnaire results by Dresden Athletic Fields Committee
Spring, 2005
- Depending on Action at November meeting, proceed with implementation of interim fields plan
May, 2005
- At Board meeting: Presentation of proposed long range plan for athletic fields by Dresden Athletic Fields Committee, including timing, scope of bond needed for implementation of the plan.
