Substitutes

Just a high school diploma or GED. No experience or certifications are required.

• Complete an application online (all district jobs are posted at sau70.schoolspring.com)
• Substitute coordinator will contact you to schedule a brief virtual interview & complete a reference check
• Sub coordinator will schedule a time to complete paperwork & fingerprinting for background check

We hire subs all year long, on a rolling basis.

Subs work as often as they wish. Most of our schools need substitutes every day, and substitutes choose from the available openings and decide which they would like to sign up for.

We use an online platform (Frontline) where staff enter their absences, then subs can view available jobs and select ones that they wish to work. If it’s 48 hours or less until the absence and it’s still unfilled, there is an automated feature that calls substitutes to offer them the job. (Subs can opt out of this feature if they prefer not to receive phone calls.)
