Dear Hanover and Norwich Families,
The timing of this morning’s power outage has presented us with an opportunity to improve our emergency response protocols. Unfortunately, the power outage occurred during our morning bus run, and estimates for the repair were unavailable until after our normal school start time.
Due to this disruptive event, regular classes have been cancelled at both the Ray School and at Richmond Middle School. Parents of students in those schools have received communication from the principals that children may be picked up. For those parents who are not able to pick up their children, we will keep them safe and engaged for the day and our buses will follow the usual after school schedule.
Marion Cross and Hanover High School are in session and will proceed as usual. Again, after school transportation will follow a normal schedule, as will the KAST afterschool program. We apologize for this morning’s confusion, and assure you that we will be working to improve our response to this sort of event in the future.
Thank you for your patience,
