The nation's first interstate school district

Non-Resident Students

We welcome interest from families outside the district, if space allows.  If you are interested in enrolling a non-resident tuition student, please fill out the correct school year form on our Enrollment page.

Admission of Tuition and Non-Resident Students

Non-resident students may only attend district schools when their attendance has been Superintendent and/or School Board approved. Once approved as a non-resident student, the District will either charge tuition to the parent or enter into an agreement with the student's school district of residence. Please contact the appropriate school directly to inquire about tuition and non-resident student availability.

"Sending" Schools or "Choice"

Several surrounding Upper Valley towns are either "sending" or "choice" districts.  "Sending districts" are towns that do not have a high school (or in limited cases middle school) of their own.  "Choice Districts" are districts where students can choose to go to other towns' schools.  If you live in a Sending District or a Choice District there are different rules for paying the tuition to Hanover High School.  Please consult your home district first.
