District Launches Limited Rollout of New Curriculum Documentation for School Community

August 22, 2024 – The District has begun a limited rollout of its new curriculum documentation system, specifically designed to give families a clearer understanding of what their students are learning in school. The initial rollout includes our kindergarten through grade six math curriculum, as well as our high school art curriculum. The project aims to increase transparency and foster stronger partnerships between families and educators.

This new system provides parents with easy access to overviews of the curriculum, including course description, units of study, and resource/materials included. The District hopes that by making this information readily available, parents will be better equipped to engage in their student’s education.

"We believe that parents play a crucial role in their student’s academic success," said Robin Steiner, Assistant Superintendent. "This phased introduction gives us the opportunity to fine-tune the remaining subjects throughout the 2024-25 school year.”

This initiative is part of the District’s broader commitment to enhancing communication and collaboration between schools and families, ensuring that families have the tools they need to support their student’s learning journey.
