Dear SAU 70 Community,
We are writing, first, to thank you for your continued patience, collaboration, and input in the ongoing planning for the reopening of our schools. The task force is meeting daily to finalize the plan that will be shared with you on August 5th, and followed by a town meeting on August 6th at 6:30 p.m.
We particularly want to thank you for the many thoughts and suggestions you shared during the last school board meeting. As you can imagine, our administrators have been receiving hundreds of e-mails every day. We want to assure you that the task force has been taking all of your input into account in developing our reopening plan and has been sharing those efforts with the school board.
Going forward, we have asked our administrators to prioritize their time and attention to focus on developing the reopening plan and all associated activities rather than responding to emails. Our administrators are doing their best to read and respond to communications from the community, but it is taking a tremendous amount of their time - time that now needs to be spent on developing and executing the plans we have all be working toward. Our hope is that this brief email hiatus will give our administration the time and space they need to focus their attention where it is most needed in this moment.
We hope to see many of you at the town hall meeting on Thursday at 6:30. We have increased the limit to the number of participants, so there should be room for everyone.
Thank you again for your patience and confidence as we continue to work towards the best possible plan to support the learning, health. and wellbeing of every child in our district.
The Members of the SAU 70 School Board
