Q: What is the price for each meal?
A: All students will receive free breakfast and lunch at school. The State of Vermont has provided money to do this through the Universal School Meals Act. We will not be participating in the Free Milk program, but students who are interested in receiving milk will be offered a reimbursable breakfast or lunch option with milk included at no charge, such as a milk, cheese stick and fresh fruit.
Q: What is your privacy policy?
A: We will not sell or disclose any contact information submitted through our site to any third party. All personal information will be kept confidential. We will only use your contact information to correspond with you about important matters concerning our lunch program.

Mealtime
All Schools - MealTime Instructions
If your student attends the Bernice A. Ray School, Frances C. Richmond Middle School, Hanover High School or Marion Cross School and purchased anything from the cafes, you will need to fund their account. Deposits can be made three ways: checks made payable to the district (Hanover School District for the Ray Cafe, Dresden School District for the RMS and HHS Cafes and Norwich School District for the MCS Cafe), cash can be brought to the main office or cafe and/or online payments can be made using a credit or debit card. While Mealtime charges fees for online payments, our school districts, currently, absorb the 4.5% fee.

Step 1: Log into your Mealtime account
Navigate to www.MyMealtime.com, log in to your existing parent account or create a new parent account. Usernames are 8 characters and are unique to the parent. Passwords must contain at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, 1 number and 1 special character. Keep these in a safe place to reference.
Step 2: Select Student
If you have multiple children, you can add funds to each account in one transaction.
If your child hasn’t already been added to your parent mealtime account, add them:
- Go to Manage Cafeteria Accounts on the left side of the screen. Click “New” to add a student
- Select State: NEW HAMPSHIRE (even for Vermont and MCS, use New Hampshire)
- Find School; begin typing “Ray,” “Rich,” “Han,” or “Mar” for Bernice A Ray Elementary, Frances C Richmond Middle School, Hanover High School, or Marion Cross School, respectively
- Enter Student ID and First Name (only). (If you don’t know your child’s student ID, which is NOT the same as their Mealtime PIN, please follow the directions below the next screen.)
- Click the green “Add” button.
NOTE: If you don’t know your child’s Student ID, you can find that by logging into PowerSchool on the website (NOT the App). Go to www.sau70.org, Go to the “Families” drop down, select “Family Portal” and scroll down to the links and click on either Powerschool - NH or VT login. Enter your username and password. If this is the first time you’ve logged into Powerschool, contact the school’s registrar or the SAU70 help desk at helpdesk@sau70.org.
Step 3: Deposit Funds
Navigate to the “Home - Deposit Funds” link on the left. For the child you want to add money, click the green “Add $” button. Select the amount you’d like to deposit (you can NOT add less than $20.00. Enter your credit card information if it is NOT already added and saved. Go to the Cart, then Checkout.
Deposits are synced every five (5) minutes.
If you need to add less than $20.00, please send your child in with a check or cash to their school. Checks can be made out to the respective school district: Hanover School District for the Ray School,Dresden School District for RMS and HHS and Norwich School District for MCS.
Alternative to deposits: Scheduled Deposits
You can set up a regularly occurring deposit and format it to your child’s needs. Go to Schedule Deposits on the left side of the screen. Select the amount desired for each child, separately. Set the timing for the scheduled deposit. Click “Save.” Check out or save your credit card information.
View Reports
Parents can review their student’s mealtime activity. Navigate to “View Reports” on the left side of the screen. Choose Cafeteria Account Statement Report, Select the date range and the student you wish to view. Click “Generate Report.” Click on the report that appears below.
Please note that student’s photos and names come up on the cafe register and cashier’s are trained to say either, “Hi, “student name” or “Thank you, “student name” to be sure that the correct student is being charged. If you think there has been an error, please contact the cafe manager at the respective school. Those names can be found on the respective websites.
Free and Reduced Lunch Program
Hanover High School
Hanover High School does not participate in the National School Lunch program but we do have a comprehensive lunch program for any students that financially qualify for support.
The above form must be filled out annually and returned to the Health Office for processing. You will be notified if your student qualifies. Please note, if your circumstances change during the year you are encouraged to complete a form.
Students on our lunch program receive:
- $10/day for food at the Cafeteria
- Free Access to athletic programs
- Free Standardized Tests
- Free College Applications
- All Senior Activities Free
- Assistance with Driver's Education Costs
- Assistance with March Intensives
Some additional benefits to being a participant in our lunch program:

- Upper Valley Aquatic Center
